I am always looking for good, highly-motivated individuals who\r\n have what it takes to spend 5-6 years diving into a specific problem\r\n in my areas of interest. If you are interested in working with me\r\n and the students in the Mondego Group, consider applying to one of these\r\n Ph.D. programs in the Bren School of ICS:

\r\n

Software\r\n Engineering: choose this if your main interest is the\r\n production of software systems. Work that I advise under this\r\n program includes: software architectures for large-scale systems,\r\n mining software repositories, programming languages and\r\n environments. In other words, the server side and development tools.

\r\n

Informatics:\r\n choose this if your main interest is HCI. Work that I advise\r\n under this program includes: user experience for 3D spaces,\r\n virtual-physical interaction. In other words, the front end.

\r\n

Computer\r\n Science: choose this if your main interests are Web data or\r\n scientific data. Work that I advise under this program includes:\r\n mining the Web, analyzing large scientific data\r\n sets. In other words, the data side.
