\r\n \r\n\r\n Teaching has been my passion since my childhood. Thus my friends always joke that\r\n I am the only one living her childhood dream because the rest wanted to be astronauts.\r\n Prior to teaching in higher ed, I taught mathematics at high school and middle school\r\n levels. I then started my master\u2019s degree to learn more about teaching and learning.\r\n During my master\u2019s, I mostly focused on statistics education and curriculum development.\r\n I researched on Bayesian education for my master\u2019s thesis.
\r\n\r\nAs a teacher of statistics and data science I use multiple strategies that are embedded in different\r\n pedagogies which I have developed over the years and continue to develop. Although I use different components of different pedagogies, my teaching is heavily rooted\r\n in constructivism. The learner is the center of the learning process.\r\n I moderate this process with modern tools.
\r\n\r\nAt UCI we have a quarter system. In Fall 2019, I am teaching two sections of Stats 67 which\r\n is my first course at UCI. You can find the source code for the course website on my GitHub\r\n

\r\n\r\n For Fall 2019, I am holding teaching office hours (Thu 1:00 - 2:00 pm) for graduate students in our department. Any graduate student can stop by with any questions\r\n related to teaching such as cour\r\n
